- Curry leaves – few
- Salt – to taste
- Capsicum – 1 cup (finely chopped)

- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Boiled rice – 2 cups (cooled)
👩🍳 How to Make Capsicum Chitranna (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Tempering
Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add channa dal, urad dal, and cashews.
Fry until golden and crunchy.
Step 2: Saute Vegetables
Add hing, curry leaves, green chilli, and onion.
Saute until onions turn soft.
Add green peas and chopped capsicum.
Cook on medium heat for 2–3 minutes.
👉 Do not overcook – capsicum should stay slightly crunchy.
Step 3: Seasoning
Add salt and mix well.
Switch to low flame.
Step 4: Add Rice
Add boiled rice slowly.
Mix gently so the rice grains don’t break.
